The Chaska brickyards produced millions and millions of brick over the years. Where did it all go? As far as I know, exact records were never kept by the brickmakers. We are therefore dependent on other record keepers for this information. Ultimately, it comes down to what can be found in old newspapers. I have had some luck documenting structures made of Chaska brick, but it is probably just a drop in the bucket. Recently, I have added some of the larger brick contracts I have found to my Minnesota Bricks website. One large brick contract that used Chaska brick was the Minneapolis Union Depot. This impressive building was completed in 1885. Check out its description and several photos on the Minneapolis Union Depot page on my Minnesota Bricks website.
