1880 Chaska Township Plat Map
The 1880 Carver County plat map was pretty detailed in depicting the early landowners of the county. When I was researching the area in regard to the Chaska brickyards, I came across information about many of the original landowners. As any genealogy researcher knows, how names were spelled back in the late 1800’s can vary from newspapers to plat maps to census records. One letter being omitted or inserted can be the difference in finding more information on a person or not. So far, I have not found everyone on this Chaska Township map, but I do have information on quite a few of the names shown here. If you find something in error or have any other information not posted here, I would love to hear about it!
