Sudden Death. Adam Amerain of Yorkville in this County, suddenly departed life on Tuesday Evening last (February 26, 1867). The circumstances connected with his untimely fate are about as follows: Adam had been in town the greater part of the day, and as was generally usual with him, got on a heavy bender, when some of our citizens taking pity upon his condition loaded him upon his sleigh and started his home, while on his sleigh it seems laid down, with his heart resting upon the rear bolster and his feet dragging upon the ground. To which cause Dr. attributes his death, – preventing the free circulation of blood. Adam was universally honored by his neighbors, his only fault – drinking.
